Central Bank discloses volume of loans issued to Azerbaijan's districts

Loans issued to the population in the districts of Azerbaijan from January through September 2021 amounted to 3.434 billion manats ($2 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the volume of loans issued in Baku amounted to 12.104 billion manats ($7.1 billion), which is 3.5 times higher than the figure for the districts. In the capital, loans in national currency accounted for 8.074 billion manats ($4.7 billion). The average interest rate on loans in the country amounted to 11.76 percent, in Baku - 10.19 percent.

CBA reports that the volume of lending in the Absheron economic region amounted to 579.639 million manats ($341 million) with an average rate of 15.53 percent, Aran - 300.345 million manats ($176.7 million) at a rate of 19.13 percent, Mountain Shirvan - 89.137 million manats / $52.4 million (20.26 percent), Ganja-Dashkesen - 476.042 million manats / $280 million (16.73 percent), Guba-Khachmaz - 263.246 million manats / $154.9 million (6.88 percent), Lankaran - 325.402 million manats / $191.5 million (19 percent), Sheki-Zagatala - 282 million manats / $166 million (14.73 percent), Karabakh - 238 million manats / $140 million (19.22 percent), Nakhchivan - 235.850 million manats / $138.8 million (13.45 percent).
