Azerbaijan interested in purchasing fire-fighting equipment from Russia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan is interested in purchasing fire-fighting equipment from a Russian manufacturer, a representative of the Vargashin plant of fire-fighting and special equipment (Russia) Artem Kazakov said told Trend on Nov.18.

According to Kazakov, the Vargashin plant is ready to supply Azerbaijan with fire-fighting equipment based on KamAZ or MAN and other chassis.

"Our company produces fire-fighting and special equipment for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the petrochemical complex, where this technique is used. The Azerbaijani market is very potential for us in the sense that oil production is well-developed here. In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan plans to purchase fire-fighting equipment in 2022, according to preliminary data, based on KamAZ or MAN, as well as on other chassis. In this regard, we held negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, during which the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan showed interest in cooperation with the Vargashin plant," he said.

In addition, Kazakov noted that the plant is ready to supply the oil industry complexes of Azerbaijan with heavy machines that can operate in more difficult conditions.

"We see the potential for cooperation in such infrastructural facilities as airports and ports. For the ports of Azerbaijan, we are ready to supply robotic equipment, stationary equipment for monitoring hazardous places where fuel and lubricants are stored, stationary fire monitors that analyze emergencies. We are ready to supply "smart" fire-fighting vehicles on heavy chassis, both starting and quick response vehicles for airports. It is also transport serving runways, transport for scattering reagents (liquid and solid), trailed equipment and self-propelled vehicles," Kazakov said.
