The rates of socio-economic development of Azerbaijan were maintained last year as a result of the targeted policy of President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during a discussion of the Cabinet of Ministers' report on activities in 2021 at the parliament’s plenary session, Trend reports.
According to Asadov, necessary measures are being taken in Azerbaijan to maintain the macroeconomic balance.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the prompt measures and the lifting of restrictions as a result of the vaccination allowed restore economic activity in the country, the prime minister noted.
"Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves have exceeded $53 billion," added Asadov.
