BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Azerbaijan increased the export of fruits and vegetables from January through March 2022, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, this figure amounted to 97,033 tons, up by 7.93 percent on annual basis.
The Azerbaijani export of fruits and vegetables in value terms increased by 28.49 percent over the year - up to $124.9 million in the first quarter of 2022.
Totally, in the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 31,763 tons of tomatoes worth $38.8 million, 7,037 tons of hazelnuts ($40.3 million), 11,102 tons of apples ($7.2 million), 38,884 tons of persimmons ($29.5 million), and 1,415 tons of pomegranates (over $2.1 million).
