BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Belarusian woodworking enterprises are planning to enter the Azerbaijani market, Chairman of Belarusian Bellesbumprom concern Mikhail Kasko said, Trend reports via Belarusian media.

According to him, in connection with the imposed sanctions against Belarus, the country’s enterprises have to look for alternatives.

"Local furniture makers built their production in such a way as to access European trade networks. Nevertheless, we are ready to reorient part of our flows to the East," Kasko noted.

"There are problems with logistics. Europe is always a more marginal market. But at the same time, our products will be purchased by China, and such countries as Azerbaijan, Iran, the states of Central Asia, where there is no wood," he added.

"We just need to calmly reorient what Europe will not be purchasing," Kasko said.

He also noted that more than 40 percent of Bellesbumprom's exports went to European markets.
