BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues through the State Customs Committee (SCC) grew from January through April 2022, Trend reports via the SCC.

According to the committee, this figure exceeded 1.6 billion manat ($940 million), up by 327 million manat ($192.3 million) or 24.88 percent on annual basis.

In the first four months of this year, the state budget revenues from customs duties increased by 49.7 million manat ($29.2 million) or 13.79 percent compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to over 410.2 million manat ($241.3 million).

Meanwhile, the budget revenues from VAT grew by 32.15 percent year on year, settling at slightly over 1.1 million manat ($650 million), while from excise taxes declined by 22.07 percent, amounting to 39.8 million manat ($23.4 million).

The revenues from road taxes equaled 16.17 million manat ($9.51 million), up by 20.86 percent compared to 1Q2021.

In 2021, the State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast for state budget revenues by 111.29 percent. The amount transferred to the state budget beyond the projection stood at 440.37 million manat ($259.19 million).
