BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijani Nakhchivan issued loans to legal entities and individuals in the amount of over 165.6 million manat ($97.4 million) from January through July 2022, Trend reports referring to the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistics Committee.
According to committee, this figure is 30.1 percent more than in the previous year.
About 13.6 million manat ($8 million) or 8.3 percent of the total volume of loans accounted for short-term loans in the specified period, and 151.4 million manat ($89 million) or 91.7 percent - for long-term loans.
GDP of Nakhchivan increased by 2.3 percent from January through July 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
According to committee, Nakhchivan's GDP exceeded 1.6 billion manat ($941.1 million) in the reporting period.
GDP per capita in Nakhchivan amounted to 3,563 manat ($2,095) in the reporting period, which is 2.7 percent more than in 2021.
