BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. The number of companies with Georgian capital grew in Türkiye from January through August 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 23, up by three companies on annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Georgian companies, their total capital also grew in the first eight months of this year, the TOBB said.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Georgian companies in Türkiye amounted to 9.5 million Turkish liras ($510,000), while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 5.7 million Turkish liras ($310,000).
Meanwhile, most of the Georgian companies (17) with a total capital of 5.1 million Turkish liras ($280,000) were registered in Istanbul.
Out of the total number of Georgian companies registered from January through August 2022, 12 companies are involved in wholesale and retail trade, two – in the production sphere, and the remaining companies operate in other sectors of the Turkish economy, added TOBB.
