BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. The number of companies with Iranian capital grew in Türkiye from January through August 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 874, up by 356 companies on annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Iranian companies, their total capital also grew in the first eight months of this year, the TOBB said.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Iranian companies in Türkiye amounted to 329.9 million Turkish liras ($17.8 million), while in the same period of 2021 this figure was 105.7 million Turkish liras ($5.7 million).
Meanwhile, most of the Iranian companies (758) with a total capital of over 238 million Turkish liras ($12.8 million) were registered in Istanbul.
Out of the total number of Iranian companies registered from January through August 2022, 297 companies were involved in wholesale and retail trade, 77 – in the production field, 35 - in construction, and the remaining companies operated in other sectors of the Turkish economy added TOBB.
