BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Amendments to the 'Law on the sale of commemorative and memorable banknotes, issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan' were approved by the Resolution No. 43/1 of the Board of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Trend reports citing CBA.

These amendments entered into force on October 12, 2022. According to them, the sale of commemorative and memorable banknotes will be carried out through the 'System for the online sale of jubilee and commemorative banknotes", as well as directly through the cash desks of the Central Bank, without accessing the system.

At the same time, taking into account the requirements of Article 3.4.11 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On cashless payments', if the payment amount exceeds 4,000 manat ($2,352), payment can be made only through a bank account. The sale of commemorative and commemorative banknotes to other legal entities, except for banks, including through legal entities, will be carried out on the basis of an agreement with the Central Bank.
