BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $6 million or 0.14 percent of the total trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries from January through September 2022, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan decreased by 17.66 percent from January through September 2022 compared to the same period the previous year ($7.3 million).
Kyrgyzstan's share in Azerbaijan's total trade turnover in the same period amounted to 0.01 percent.
Kyrgyzstan's import from Azerbaijan amounted to $1.8 million from January through September 2022, which is 63.28 percent less than in the same period in 2021 ($4.9 million).
Kyrgyzstan's exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $4.2 million, which is 73.31 percent more ($2.4 million).
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through September 2022 increased by 73.3 percent or $16.84 billion compared to the same period last year - from $22.9 billion up to $39.8 billion.
Exports in Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $29.5 billion, which is $14.8 billion (101.79 percent) higher than in 2021. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 74.15 percent against 63.68 percent the previous year.
Azerbaijan's imports increased by $1.9 billion, or 23.35 percent, from $8.3 billion to $10.2 billion. The share of imports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 25.85 percent against 36.32 percent a year earlier.
The surplus of foreign trade turnover increased year-on-year by more than $12.9 billion, or more than 3.05 times - to $19.2 billion against $6.2 billion from January through September 2021.
