BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. Azerbaijan Fashion Retail Association (AFRA) plans to regularly hold special campaigns to increase sales, Board Chairman of AFRA Farid Novruzi told Trend on November 18.
"In 2022, compared to the previous year, the total retail turnover of branded clothing significantly grew. Positive changes were achieved through the organization of various events,” Novruzi said. “For example, this is the Baku Shopping Festival, which takes place annually on November 6-20 and covers all shopping centers in the capital and stores of participating brands, the number of which has been increased to 68.”
The AFRA board chairman noted that such festivals should be regularly held not only to increase the turnover of entrepreneurs but also to ensure the availability of branded clothing for local consumers, create new jobs and develop human resources.
"We continue to work with colleagues to simplify the conditions for importers and we hope that the measures taken will lead to the formation of a high-quality fashion industry in Azerbaijan, which will become one of the leading sectors of the country's economy, attract foreign investors and contribute to a further increase in state budget revenues, as well as growth in non-cash payments," he added.
