BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. Banks and credit institutions of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave out loans in the amount of 232.95 million manat ($136.86 million) to legal entities and individuals from January through October 2022, Trend reports citing Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.

As the Committee said, this figure was 25.4 percent more than in the same period of 2021.

In the reporting period, nearly 19.019 million manat ($11.17 million), or 8.2 percent of the overall volume, fell on short-term loans, while 213.9 million manat ($125.66 million), or 91.8 percent of the total amount came at long-term loans.

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan exceeded 2.4 billion manat ($1.4 billion) from January through October 2022. Thus, Nakhchivan's GDP increased by 2.6 percent against the same period of 2021.
