BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. Turkish ports handled 1.93 million tons of cargo from Germany from January through November 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 23,275 tons of cargo, while ships under the flags of other countries – 1.9 million tons to local ports.
During this period, 10,981 tons of transit cargo were transshipped by German-flagged ships to Turkish ports.
Meanwhile, 214,067 tons of transit freight were delivered from Germany to Turkish ports.
The domestic ports handled 31.16 million tons of cargo in November 2022.
In the reporting period, ships flying the flag of Türkiye transshipped 2.05 million tons, whereas ships under the flags of other countries equaled 29.1 million tons.
In November 2022, ports of Türkiye delivered 6.75 million tons of transit cargo.
A total of 361.98 million tons of freight were transferred by Turkish ports in the first eleven months of 2022.
During this period, cargo traffic by ships under the Turkish flag amounted to 25.79 million tons, whilst by ships under the flags of other countries – 336.18 million tons.
From January through November 2022, Turkish ports transshipped 73.75 million tons of transit cargo.
