BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Banks and credit institutions of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave out loans in the amount of 252.4 million manat ($148.36 million) to legal entities and individuals from January through November 2022, Trend reports citing Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
As the Committee said, this figure was 21.5 percent more than in the same period of 2021.
In the reporting period, nearly 20.279 million manat ($11.9 million), or eight percent of the overall volume, fell on short-term loans, while 232.16 million manat ($136.5 million), or 92 percent of the total amount came at long-term loans.
The gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic exceeded 2.538 billion manat ($1.49 billion) from January through November 2022. This figure increased by 2.7 percent against the same period in 2021.
GDP per capita in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 5,911 manat ($3,472) during this period, which was 3.8 percent more than in the period from January through November 2021.
