BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 29. Ports of Türkiye handled over 3.68 million tons of cargo from Lebanon from January through November 2022, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 279,568 tons of cargo, and ships flying the flags of other countries delivered – 3.1 million tons.
Vessels flying the flag of Lebanon delivered 293,474 tons of cargo to Turkish ports in the first 11 months of this year.
Meanwhile, Turkish ports handled 423,343 tons of transit cargo from Lebanon.
The ports of Türkiye handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in November 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships flying the Turkish flag through local ports amounted to 2.05 million tons during this period.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 29.1 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 6.7 million tons of transit cargo in November 2022.
Turkish ports handled 361.9 million tons of cargo from January through November 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships flying the flag of Türkiye amounted to 25.7 million tons, while ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 336.18 million tons during the specified period.
Turkish ports handed 73.7 million tons of transit cargo from January through November 2022.
