BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Some 69 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in March 2023, which is ten more companies than in the same period of 2022, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the report, along with the number of registered Azerbaijani companies, their total capital also increased during the reporting period.
"The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 70.5 million Turkish lira ($3.6 million) during the reporting period, while in the same period of the previous year this figure stood at 18.5 million Turkish lira ($951,041)," in the report said.
Most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (59) in March 2023.
"The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 63.7 million Turkish lira ($3.2 million)," the ministry said.
Out of the total number of companies with Azerbaijani capital registered in Türkiye in March 2023, as many as 37 companies operate in the wholesale and retail trade. The rest of the companies are involved in other economic sectors.
