Turnover via Azerbaijani Epoint.az e-commerce platform increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The total number of successful transactions through Azerbaijan's Epoint.az e-commerce platform has exceeded 316,100, CEO of Epoint Inc. Zeynal Kerimzadeh told Trend.

According to Kerimzadeh, the average transaction amount is 67.56 manat ($39.7).

"Our company specializes in technological solutions, business optimization systems, e-commerce and cashless payments," he said.

The CEO stressed that the total turnover of the platform is now exceeding 21.4 million manat ($12.59 million), and the overall number of registered customers reaches nearly 423.

As of 2022, the volume of transactions amounted to 219,600, the average amount of transactions was 63.01 manat ($37.06), and the total turnover exceeded 13.8 million manat ($8 million).

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan, in line with the requirements of the bank's Digital Payments Strategy for 2021-2023, aims to increase the share of non-cash settlements via payment cards up to 48 percent within the country. As part of this strategy, it's scheduled to raise the share of contactless payment cards in the market up to 75 percent.
