BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Currently, the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) is working on projects to preserve biodiversity in regions of Azerbaijan, create rural communities for sustainable development, and provide financial support to fund their projects in this area, AMFA's Executive Director Jala Hajiyeva told Trend.
"The aim of the proposed project is to disseminate knowledge and practices in regional communities that can lead to environmentally responsible decisions and lifestyles, contributing to the protection of the environment and the preservation of natural resources for present and future generations. The project's implementation will begin as soon as a source of funding is identified," she noted.
AMFA is currently also implementing a project to support the development of business and professional associations as the lead implementer of the "Associations of the Future" project consortium.
The project is funded by USAID and aims to strengthen the role of business and professional associations in Azerbaijan's economic development by enhancing the qualifications of the associations involved in the project, expanding inclusive economic opportunities, and contributing to economic well-being.
