BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Over 10.2 million tons of cargo were transported from Greece to Turkish ports from January through July 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports.
Vessels under the flag of Türkiye delivered 828,603 tons of cargo from Greece to Turkish ports, and vessels under the flags of other countries - nine million tons. During this period, ships under the flag of Greece delivered 340,772 tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye.
In addition, from January to July 2023, Greece shipped 2.4 million tons of transit cargo to Turkish ports.
In July 2023, 32.5 million tons of cargo were delivered to Turkish ports.
During this time, Turkish-flagged ships brought in 2.4 million tons of cargo, whereas foreign-flagged ships brought in 30 million tons. Additionally, 6.1 million tons of transit goods were shipped from Turkish ports in July 2023.
In addition, from January through July 2023, Turkish ports received 227 million tons of cargo.
Cargo transportation by Turkish-flagged vessels through domestic ports amounted to 16.8 million tons.
