BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. Azerbaijan exported 4,770 tons of hazelnuts worth €25 million to European Union countries from January through June 2023, the European Union's statistical office, Eurostat told Trend.
According to the data, this is 43 percent less in quantitative terms and 48 percent less in value terms year-on-year.
Azerbaijan exported 2,530 tons of hazelnuts (+47 percent) worth €13 million (+34 percent) to Germany and 1 million tons (-4 times) worth €7 million (-5 times) to Italy from January through June 2023.
According to Eurostat, EU countries imported 10,060 tons of hazelnuts from Azerbaijan in 2022 (+42 percent year-on-year) worth €58 million (+44 percent).
