BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. The total number of transactions through the e-commerce platform in Azerbaijan today is more than 466,700 transactions, Co-founder of Epoint startup Hasan Hasanov told Trend.
According to him, the average amount of transactions is 66,25 manat ($38.9).
Hasanov emphasized that the total number of registered customers is 887.
Meanwhile, the volume of transactions at the end of 2022 amounted to 219,600, the average amount of transactions was 63,01 manat ($37) and the total turnover was 13.8 million manat ($8.1 million).
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) following the requirements of the "CBA Digital Payments Strategy for 2021-2023" aims to increase the share of non-cash payments through payment cards within the country by up to 48 percent.
In addition, within the framework of this strategy, it is planned to increase the share of contactless payment cards in the market by up to 75 percent.
