BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 16. The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan increased by 10.1 percent in January 2024 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 942.4 manat, Trend reports.
Based on Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, earnings in
the oil and gas sector were 3,386.8 manat ($1,991), while in the
non-oil and gas sector they were 896.2 manat ($526.9). Employee
salaries in governmental entities totaled 896.8 manat ($527.3),
while private enterprises paid 993 manat ($583.9).
The committee reported that workers in mining, insurance and
finance, information and communications, and scientific and
technological industries earned the highest earnings.
