Azerbaijan reveals customs revenues to state budget for 4M2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Azerbaijan's state budget revenues through the State Customs Committee (SCC) decreased by 3.26 percent from January through April 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

The data from the committee shows that revenues exceeded 1.979 billion manat, or $1.16 billion, in the reporting period.

Customs duties revenues to the state budget in the reporting period of 2024 increased by 52.44 percent (260.431 million manat, or $153.2 million) compared to the same period last year and amounted to 757.02 million manat, or $445.3 million.

Revenue from VAT in the reporting period amounted to 1.146 billion manat, or $674.1 million (a 22.03 percent reduction compared to the same period in 2023), from excise tax - 63.552 million manat, or $37.38 million (2.02 percent growth), and from road tax - 12.703 million manat, or $7.47 million (a 25.41 percent reduction).

To note, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the SCC in 2023 increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022 - up to 6.337 billion manat, or $3.73 billion.
