BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 14. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecasts Middle Eastern oil production to reach 3.25 mb/d in 2025, Trend reports.
The latest assessment revises the forecast downward by 0.04 mb/d compared to the previous projection. Despite this adjustment, the region is still expected to see a growth of 0.1 mb/d in output, reaching an estimated 3.15 mb/d for 2024.
Looking ahead, the forecast indicates a gradual increase in regional output. It is projected to rise to 3.18 mb/d in the first quarter of 2025, followed by a slight uptick to 3.21 mb/d in the second quarter. Further growth is anticipated with an output of 3.29 mb/d in the third quarter, peaking at 3.34 mb/d in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Qatar, a key player in the region, is expected to maintain a steady output level of 1.91 mb/d throughout 2025, marking a slight increase of 0.05 mb/d from the 2024 production of 1.86 mb/d.
Meanwhile, Oman, the second-largest producer, is anticipated to experience incremental growth in liquids output year-on-year, reaching 1.04 mb/d by the end of 2025, up from an estimated 1.01 mb/d in 2024.
