TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 23. Uzbekistan is carrying out textile projects in several regions of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev told reporters in Tashkent, Trend reports.
"Textile projects are being launched in Azerbaijan, leveraging Uzbekistan's extensive experience in this industry. As a country with deep expertise in textiles and exports exceeding $4 billion in this sector, Uzbekistan's knowledge will be instrumental in implementing complex textile projects in regions like Imishli, Yevlakh, and the liberated territories, including Khankendi," he said.
The Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan business forum took place in Tashkent on August 22.
During the forum, documents were exchanged on cooperation in various sectors, including energy, education, logistics, and construction. Additionally, agreements were made to strengthen ties between the countries and to establish twinning relations between the cities of Jizzakh (Uzbekistan) and Guba (Azerbaijan), as well as Shahrisabz (Uzbekistan) and Beylagan (Azerbaijan).
Moreover, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan plan to open trade houses and showrooms in Baku, Shusha, Tashkent, and Samarkand.
