ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 16. Siemens will unveil a new initiative in Kazakhstan today, said Patricia Neumann, Vice President of Siemens AG for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Trend reports.
“Over the past 30 years in Kazakhstan, Siemens has partnered with local clients and partners on numerous large-scale projects aimed at modernizing the country’s infrastructure. Today, we’re excited to announce a new initiative involving the local assembly and, eventually, partial production of Siemens measuring instruments in Kazakhstan,” Neumann said at the Kazakhstan-Germany Business Forum in Astana.
She highlighted that this project is a major milestone in Kazakhstan-Germany economic and technological cooperation, featuring significant knowledge transfer, local capability building, and investment in energy-efficient and high-precision technologies.
“Additionally, we’re looking forward to developing a joint production venture with our partner, Silk Road Electronics. This will focus on equipment for automating and electrifying the metallurgy sector and energy infrastructure. We’ll be signing a detailed roadmap for these next steps during the forum,” she added.
