BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. The draft state budget of Azerbaijan for 2025 has included several novelties, the country's Accounts Chamber Chairman Vugar Gulmammadov said during a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship on the draft law "On the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2025" today, Trend reports.
He pointed out that, in contrast to the previous fiscal cycle, the current budget draft has not integrated key macroeconomic metrics and strategic scenarios.
"In the context of reduced capital expenditures, growth in current expenditures and debt servicing costs is projected.
For the first time in recent years, the budget sets the starting oil price at $70 per barrel. I would like to note that we also share concerns regarding this risk indicator, as reflected in the explanation," Gulmammadov emphasized.
