South Korean Samdong plans to create solid waste recycling cluster in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, administration of Samarkand region held online talks with administration of South Korean Samdong Enterprise Company Ltd, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo News Agency.

The negotiations focused on accelerating the creation of a $35 million solid waste recycling cluster.

"The feasibility of the project lies in effective collection and recycling of solid domestic waste. For this purpose, Samdong plans to purchase special vehicles for garbage collection," the report says.

In order to speed up the negotiation process and start practical implementation of the project, representatives of Samdong informed about their readiness to visit Uzbekistan in the near future, as soon as international air communication will be opened.

As a result of online negotiations, the parties reached an agreement to organize another videoconference and start working on the upcoming visit of South Korean investors to Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.
