Iran reveals data on construction progress of its enterprises

Special attention in Iran is paid to enterprises in Iran with more than 60 percent of progress in construction, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Saeed Zarandi said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

According to him, so far, a total of 70,000 licenses have been issued for the construction of industrial enterprises in Iran.

Zarandi added that there is over 60 percent progress in the construction of more than 12,500 enterprises, and over 80 percent progress in the construction of more than 3,800 enterprises.

The deputy minister stressed that in addition, there is 20 percent progress in the construction of 19,900 enterprises.

“According to research, 30 percent of enterprises with more than 80 percent progress in construction are in the industrial and mining sectors, 30 percent in the chemical and petroleum products sector, 9 percent is in the food and soft drinks production sector, 7 percent is in textile sector, 4.5 percent is in the car and vehicles manufacturing sector, 4.5 percent is in the tire and rubber sector, and 15 percent in other sectors," he said.

Zarandi noted that 200 enterprises with the highest progress in the construction will be commissioned with an investment of 1.7 billion trillion rials (about $40.4 billion) by the end of current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).

The deputy minister emphasized that the main problem for the establishment of industrial enterprises is to ensure finance and liquidity.

Zarandi said that 3.6 trillion rials (about $85.7 million) in loans were needed for manufacturing enterprises in the last year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). However, the banks have paid 2.16 trillion rials (about $51.4 million) in loans.
