The construction of a new terminal at Kutaisi International Airport is nearing completion, in a few months Georgia will have a comfortable, new terminal, said Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Turnava and US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan inspected ongoing construction work of a new terminal at Kutaisi International Airport.
Renovation work of the new passenger terminal of Kutaisi International Airport continues in an intensive mode, and after completion, a similar process will be carried out in the existing terminal, as a result of which the stage of merging the new and old terminals will begin.
Kutaisi International Airport will have arrival and departure halls provided with modern equipment for operation of an airport of international standards.
After completion of renovation work, Kutaisi Airport will be able to handle 1,200 passengers per hour, which will quadruple the capacity of the airport.
