By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

The plan to construct a new plant of Georgian Chirikela company has been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic, said Nino Mchedlidze, director of Chirikela, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Chirikela is presented on the Georgian market with about 20 types of dried fruits, chips, and tea. The company has recently begun to produce chips.

According to the director of Chirikela, the situation created by the pandemic harmed demand.

"It had become difficult to access the raw materials during the operation in the state of emergency, which affected the price of raw materials and consequently, the cost of products. At this stage, the price of Chirikela products starts from 2 lari (62 cents) and the cost of special packaging reaches up to 20 lari ($6.22)," said Mchedlidze.

Chirikela has been on the market for 3 years. The products are produced in Tetritskaro and sold in local shops, and with the help of the Facebook page (Chirikela - Chirikela), the products can be purchased online.
