The number of enterprises and organizations working in the field of the construction sector of Uzbekistan as of November 1, 2020, amounted to 40,300, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
In comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, the number of construction enterprises in Uzbekistan increased by 6.7 percent.
Tashkent city registered the largest number of construction enterprises and organizations, which accounts for 7,700. Indicators in this region increased by 17.3 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
At the same time, 3,500 were registered in the Tashkent region, 3,200 enterprises each in Kashkadarya and Fergana regions, and 3,000 construction enterprises and organizations each in Andijan and Samarkand regions.
The number of enterprises and organizations in the construction sector as of October 1, 2020, reached 39,900 and, compared to the same period last year, it increased by 4,200.
In addition, the largest share of construction work performed by large construction organizations in the total volume of construction work falls on Tashkent city (25.3 percent) followed by the Navoi region (23 percent) and Tashkent region (20.1 percent).
The main factor in the growth in the number of construction enterprises and organizations was the increase in specialized works by 6.3 percent (their share of the total number amounted to 58 percent).
