A meeting was held between Azerbaijan and Iran to finalize the agreement on the construction of a joint road bridge over the Astarachay, said an official of Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Timour Bashir Gonbadi, Trend reports citing the ministry.
The official noted that a number of officials, including the officials of Legal Affairs of the Presidential Administration of Iran, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Energy, Construction and Iran's Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company and others attended the meeting.
Gonbadi added that both sides agreed in the meeting on the legal issues of the bridge, the format of the agreement, border and environmental issues.
“It was decided to hold separate meetings on the financial issues of the agreement in the meeting,” he said.
The official stressed that after the completion of discussions on the contract and the signing of the contract, the construction of a road bridge over the Astarachay will begin.
