The construction of the Uzbekistan GTL plant for synthetic liquid fuels production has entered its final stage, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

Employees from among foreign citizens and citizens of Uzbekistan, who, on the basis of fixed-term labor contracts, performed certain types of work, step by step, as the envisaged activity ends, complete work on the construction of the Uzbekistan GTL plant.

At the same time, taking into account the qualifications and experience they received at this facility, the construction contractor ENTER Engineering will continue to have a database of all employees involved at different times, with the aim of possibly inviting them to work at new facilities.

The construction of a plant for the production of synthetic fuel Uzbekistan GTL was started in the Kashkadarya region in 2017.

Uzbekistan GTL by its scale is one of the largest investment projects not only in Uzbekistan but throughout the region. The project is aimed at expanding the country's capacity for deep processing of natural gas, drastically reducing imports of hydrocarbons.

It is expected that the project will provide import substitution of oil products worth about $1 billion annually.
