Number of construction enterprises re-established in 2020 in Uzbekistan revealed

The number of enterprises and organizations working in the field of the construction sector of Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2021, amounted to 40,950, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, the number of construction enterprises in Uzbekistan increased by 4,751 enterprises.

At the same time, 6,022 construction enterprises were re-established in 2020.

Tashkent city registered the largest number of construction enterprises and organizations, which accounts for 7,907. Almost two times fewer construction enterprises were created in the Tashkent region – 3,577, Kashkadarya region – 3,289, Fergana region – 3,236, Samarkand region – 3,079, and in Andijan region – 3,071.

Insignificantly fewer construction enterprises and organizations were established for the reported period in the Bukhara region – 2738, Surkhandarya region – 2,486, Karakalpakstan Republic – 2,325, Namangan region – 2,271 and in Jizzakh region – 2,027.

In addition, the number of construction enterprises and organizations created as of January 1 in Khorezm, Navoi, and Syrdarya regions amounted to 1903, 1560, and 1481 enterprises, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that the number of enterprises and organizations working in the field of the construction sector of Uzbekistan as of November 1, 2020, amounted to 40,300. In comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, the number of construction enterprises in Uzbekistan increased by 6.7 percent.

It was noted that Tashkent city registered the largest number of construction enterprises and organizations as of November 1, 2020, which accounts for 7,700. The indicator in this region increased by 17.3 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
