Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 February / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / The Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs commenced implementation on a project to inform Azerbaijani regional entrepreneurs of the national strategy on combating corruption, the Confederation reported on 5 February.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Azerbaijani Commission on Fighting against Corruption.
The purpose of the project is to make entrepreneurs take an active role in combating corruption, to prevent instances of corruption and to increase transparency in entrepreneurship.
During the first 2 months, the Confederation will hold one-day workshops dedicated to fighting against corruption in the regions of Ganja, Lankaran, Gusar, Imishli and Kurdamir, involving 25 entrepreneurs per region.
The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs was established in 1999 and now has 3,500 members. The membership fee in the Confederation varies between AZN 100 and AZN 1,000, depending on the juridical status of the entrepreneurs.
