The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents revealed 57 kinds of uncertified gas devices in 142 trade properties.
"A statement was drawn up on all cases and selling these devices was forbidden," the committee said.
Regarding problems in exploitation of gas devices at homes and gas leak accidents, the state committee strengthened monitoring to prevent selling uncertified homemade gas devices in the country's trade properties.
Population is recommended to demand a certificate issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents when buying homemade gas devices.
So far, the state committee has issued certificates to following companies: Mashhaddavam Industrial Group (Mashhaddavam gas stoves), Adonis Co (Adonis gas stoves), Jahan Afrooz Manufacturing (Jahan Afrooz gas stoves), Tebriz Load (Adrian gas stoves), Tavan Gas Co, Humayunqaz (gas cylinders), Sharegh Toos (Sharegh Toos gas stoves) and Qaynar Xezer.
The Azerbaijani State Standardization Committee is a central organ of executive power which forms and pursues state policy in standardization, metrology, certification and protection of industrial properties.
