A next stage of the program on Competition grants as a part of the second project Developing and Loaning Agriculture was realized by jointly with the World Bank. Winners of the program received the first tranche to realize projects. The Agriculture Ministry's Scientific-Agrarian Centre reported on Feb. 3.
"Tranche makes up 30 percent of total grant," the centre said.
Earlier the State Agricultural Loaning Agency at the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry announced the chosen 26 projects as winners of the Competition grant programs. These projects aims to improve quality and standards of production, assort new product, cut losses after harvest, pack up products, manage business and the best business-experience. Projects will be realized in Jalilabad, Lankaran, Masalli, Gazakh, Gadabay, Samukh, Shamkir, Shaki, Oguz, Zagatala, Imishli, Agjabadi and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Averagely, amount of the issued grants made up $22,000 for each project. A realization term for each project is from six months to one year.
"These projects focus on improving quality of agriculture production in regions, as well as social state of entrepreneurs engaged in this field," the centre said.
The state agency announced the same competition and applications will be received by early March.
