Azerbaijan, India, Turkmenistan to agree on development of tourism

Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev received Indian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Debnath Sou and Turkmen Ambassador Annamamed Mammadov. The sides discussed development of bilateral relations amongst countries in culture and tourism.
The meeting focused on signing bilateral agreements in culture and tourism, as well as holding mutual culture days.
The Azerbaijani tourism sector increased by 40 percent in 2008. The minister intended actively to develop local and business tourism, Minister Garayev said earlier.Goods turnover between Azerbaijan and Indian was $3.18 million and with Turkmenistan - $2.7million in January 2009, the State Statistical Committee reported.
