Azerbaijani Azerdemiryolbank's assets decrease in April

The Azerbaijani Azerdemiryolbank's assets reduced by 0.7 percent in April and amounted to 207.8 million manat as for May 1, the bank said.

The bank's deposit portfolio was 51.05 million manat, of which 45.12 million manat falls to individuals' deposits and 5.93 million manat- deposits of enterprises. The bank's deposit portfolio dropped by 6.9 percent in April.

The bank's loan portfolio reduced by three percent and amounted to 155.58 million manat in April. This figure was 67.35 million manat in the first quarter.

The bank's net income comprises 735,700 manat. The bank's income was 3.071 million manat on May 1.

The bank's aggregate capital was 40.35 million manat on May 1 compared to 39.62 million manat on April 1. The authorized capital of the bank made up 13.4 million manat.

Azerdemiryolbank, one of the first commercial banks in the country, was established in 1989 by the Azerbaijan State Railway. There are EBRD and the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) amongst its shareholders. There are 31 branches and departments of the bank in Baku and the country's regions.

On June 1, the official exchange rate is 0.8035 manat to $1.
