Georgia's money reserves upped by $56.8 million and amounted to $1,529,889,200 in May, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) said.

"The growth is partially connected with strengthening of dollar rate to euro," the NBG said.

Growth of reserves is planned for $72 million more via tranche of the International Monetary Fund's loan by late June.

The volume of money reserves of Georgia decreased by 22.8 percent in May 2009 compared to the same period in 2008.
