Turkmenistan's Fish Industry Committee has prolonged international tender to build and purchase one multi-functional fishing and transport boat and three fishing and freezing boats.
The tender proposals will be accepted till July 10, 2009.
The boats will be used for production and social facilities of oil and gas and fishing industry.
Turkmenistan, along with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Iran, borders with the Caspian Sea which is rich in bio-resources. Country's fishing industry is witnessing modernization. Infrastructure is being upgraded. Leading flagship is Balkanbalyk State Company, which produces fish in the Caspian Sea and is engaged in the processing of fishery products.
The development of aquaculture (breeding and cultivation of aquatic organisms - fish, molluscs, crustaceans, algae under controlled conditions to increase the productivity of water bodies) is one of the focus of activities of the State Committee in various regions of the country.
Packages with tender proposals must be delivered to the address: 54 Makhtumkuli Avenue, Ashgabat. The applications will be accepted for consideration after receiving the money to the account of Fish Industry Committee.
