Facts of consumer rights violation revealed in Azerbaijan

The State Service for Control over the Consumer Market under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development revealed next facts of consumer rights violation, the ministry said on June 22.

Roughly 2 tons of overdue products, including sausages, confectionery, vegetable oil, mineral water, tinned vegetables, juices, etc. were revealed during monitoring conducted in Narimanov region of Baku, as well as Jalilabad and Ganja on June 19.

All products liquidated.

Protocols on administrative violations were designed towards three legal and eight physical entities violated consumer rights.

Roughly 17 legal entities were fined in the amount of 64,500 manat and 81 physical entities in the amount of 122,500 manat after the Azerbaijani President's decree on changes and additions in the code of administrative violations dated May 17.

Monitoring continues.

On June 22, the official exchange rate is 0.804 manat to $1.
