Azerbaijan imported 745 harvesters, 2,280 tractors, 140 excavators, 5,690 farm machinery through state leasing company JSC AqroLizinq from 2005 to 2009, Chairman of AqroLizinq JSC's board, Ali Bayramov, said in an interview with official newspaper.
Bayramov said that eight dairy plants have been built, 19 cold stores have been installed, and eight equipment for feed, 236,900 tons - fertilizers, 294,300 tons of pesticides have been bought through AqroLizinq.
AqroLizinq bought 18,078 tons of superphosphate fertilizers worth 10 million manat in 2008. They were sold to producers with 70 percent discount. About 18,000 tons of fertilizers are planned to be bought by late 2009, Bayramov said.
Chairman of the state-owned company, AqroLizinq also plans to buy 7,180 tons of grain seeds worth 4.1 million manat, to be sold to producers at 50 percent discount price by the end of 2009.
About 770 heads of pedigree cattle have been bought from Germany due to the company's three million manat. They were sold to 61 physical and legal entities for three-year-lease.
AqroLizinq JSC has leased 3,480 of agricultural equipment to 1,960 people during 2005-2009.
Agricultural equipment includes 1,080 tractors, 69 combine harvesters, 54 excavators and 2,270 of other agricultural equipment.
About 770 heads of pedigree cattle were leased to 61 farmers within this period.
The company got 48.79 million manat using equipment and leasing operations, preferential sale of fertilizers, cattle, grain seeds for five years of JSC's activity.
About 9.9 million manat was received from agrarian services, 13.07 million manat - leasing operations, 2,31 million manat - sale of technical equipment, 20.6 million manat - chemical fertilizers or pesticides, grain seeds - 2,09 million manat , pedigree cattle - 0,82 million manat.
About 221.26 million manat was allocated from state budget of the state company. About 25 million manat falls on 2005, 41 million - on 2006, 37.5 million manat - on 2007, 72,5 million manat - on 2008, 45,26 million manat - on 2009.
On October 24, the official exchange rate is 0.8031 manat to $1.
