Pakistani airlines passengers, who went through an emergency landing in Baku, were tested for the swine flu virus, the Azerbaijani Health Ministry said.

"The results of tests did not confirm the presence of the swine flu virus," the ministry added.

According to ministry information, a four-month baby had high fever and convulsions. At the moment, the child's condition is stable.

So far, Azerbaijan has registered 14 swine flu cases of which all have fully recovered. New cases have not been reported.

AZAL (Azerbaijan Airlines) reported that the plane was in the Heydar Aliyev Airport one and a half hours, after which the plane continued the flight on the route.

Earlier, Azerbaijan  started vaccinating against the H1N1 pandemic virus Jan.13. The World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 90,000 from the planned 172,000 vaccines to Azerbaijan. The vaccines will be distributed to medical institutions in 11 different districts of Baku and Sumgait, the ministry said. The first phase of vaccination covers two cities - Baku and Sumgait.

People will be vaccinated voluntarily. Pregnant women, people with weak immune systems, chronic diseases and employees who may have been in direct contact with sick people are in the "risk group."

One dose of vaccine is 10 mg per person.
