Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development held a workshop titled, "Export Possibilities of Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs on a Preferential Basis to the EU" in Lankaran, the ministry said today.
Entrepreneurship Policy Department of the Economic Development Ministry Head Zaur Gasimov said that as a result of the country's socio-economic policy, Azerbaijan has established a favorable business environment and strengthened state support for entrepreneurship.
The ministry launched similar workshops in Baku and the country's regions in 2009.
Azerbaijan has access to the EU GSP + preferences system since January 2009.
Joining the program allows Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to export goods to the EU on preferential terms, which expands the country's export potential significantly.
