The international banking conference "Stabile credit growth in the Caucasus, Central Asia and neighboring EU countries" will be held in Tbilisi April 15.
The conference is held upon the initiative of the National Bank of Georgia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Monetary Fund.
Representatives of ministries of finance, central banks from 12 countries will attend the forum.
The National Bank George president Georgi Kadagidze will represent Georgia at the conference.
Professor at Tel Aviv University, Leonardo Liderman, which advises the National Bank of Georgia on larization of the financial system will attend the forum as a special guest.
Participants of the conference will discuss the causes of credit decline and ways of their solving.
The National Bank of Georgia said that the current situation, the necessary reforms in the banking sector and the effectiveness of taken measures will be analyzed at the meeting. Special attention will be paid to reforms to be conducted in the banking sector to ensure the stability of the financial sector to fluctuations between the cycles of the credit boom and recession.
Georgia's Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, Ministers of Finance and Economic Development, representatives of the diplomatic and international missions, Georgian banking sector and experts will meet with participants of the conference.
