Turkey to mass-produce housing in Iran

The Iranian minister of housing and urban development said that in the next two days he will sign an MOU with his Turkish counterpart paving the way for mass-producing housing in Iran.

The Mehr News Agency quoted Ali Nikzad as saying that to make the most of modern technology and know-how in mass-producing housing the Turkish private sector will help Iranian contractors build 20,000 condos in the newly founded city of Parand.

The official said that the investments of Turkish firms on huge urbanization plans, large tourist resorts and new cities are fields that the two countries can cooperate in.

The Turkish minister of housing and public works said that presently Turkish citizens have access to inexpensive yet high-tech buildings.

Mustafa Demir added that Turkey has advanced in the field of construction materials which is essential for building infrastructures and has turned into the second-biggest exporter of these items in the world after China.
