Azerbaijan mainly exports oil products to CIS countries

In January-July 2010, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $1,101 billion or 31.39 percent of the total amount of the country's import from the CIS countries compared to the same period of 2009, the State Customs Committee said.

In January-July 2010, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $1,101 billion or 31.39 percent of the total amount of the country's import from the CIS countries compared to the same period of 2009, the State Customs Committee said.

Grain-crops (12.90 percent of total import), vehicles (9.42 percent), electrical machinery and equipment (10,.37 percent) ferrous metallurgy products (about 7.27 percent) and etc.were imported to Azerbaijan from CIS countries.

The amount of export of Azerbaijani goods to CIS countries hit $1,135 billion (9.45 percent of total export).

Mineral fuels, oil products, bituminous minerals ( 53.44 percent of total exports), vegetables (3.18 percent), animal and vegetable fats (10.25 percent), sugar and confectionery products (5.63 percent), vessels (15.38  percent) and other were mainly exported to CIS countries.

There is red ink worth $34, 164.4 million with CIS countries on import-export transactions.
